How are y'all storing yours? I have four different Glocks in three different calibers,  9mm, 40, and 357sig.  I have dozens of mags that  I am storing in two ammo boxes in the bottom of the safe. They are a pain to get too, and they are all piled together. I saw a grid system insert for ammo boxes on a google search, with the different length mags that does not seem like it would be the best use of space. There has got to be a better way. I would love ideas and pics.

I get Shoe rack from Sams
These show racks are stackable so you can go up two or three levels high if you want

I then get  plastic shoe boxes from lowes

I then use a label maker and label each shoe box.  I can easily get three shoe boxes per shelf.  Everything is neat, organized and easy to find quickly.

I use tuberware of different sizes for that kind of stuff.

I discovered my 9/40 mags slide right in between the wires and catch on the base plates.

I discovered my 9/40 mags slide right in between the wires and catch on the base plates. However I have an old demo crate that I keep all my mags in.

Looks like you need a Brother label maker!

There is a thread in th "Safes & Home Security" section that has pictures of how someone organized their two safes, magazines and all. It's quite nice actually.

I buy cheap pistol bags from 5.11 and store my loaded mags in them.  One for G17 one for G19 and one for .22 conversion.  That way it's grab and go when I head to the range.

you might want to distinguish between calibers by some form of paint stripe

I like that, I have now added two spare mags for my HD gun to a shelf in my closet, thanks for the idea. I have a shirt pulled down from the shelf above so you can't see them when you walk in closet.

Yep, got them marked for quick identification. I may color the Glock logo red for defense ammo, and leave plain for FMJ practice ammo.

I bought some of the orange base plates to put on all of my mags with self defense rounds in them.

Y'all are much more organized than me.  I just throw mags into cardboard boxes

I keep mine in Rubbermaid totes, sorted by model (17, 19, 20, etc.)

Nothing fancy.   I have a shoe box full of 9mm mags on a shelf next to a shoe box partially full of .40 mags, and my 45 and 10mm mags sitting on the shelf next to those.  I don't even have a picture.

Nope, that is why I want a different way to store them, outside of my packed full safe.

If you must/want or desire to run all these different calibers consider lightly spraying the back of the mag in FDE/OD or leave black for differing calibers...as for me its all 9mm, my family has chosen as a group to go 9mm...we have 17 Glocks between us...all can use the 17 mag...

I got  a couple of the bright orange MTM ammo can looking boxes. Took empty boxes that had once held cast bullets and made a divider system inside the MTM box. Each insert is labeled.
