Just picked up a gen 2 glock 17 at a local gun show. Trigger was very heavy so I stripped it down and it had the 8lb "+" connector. I threw  a "." Connector I had lying around in it and the trigger is much nicer.

It seems to dry fire ok.but are there any issues putting a "." Connector in a gen 2?

No add a heavier trigger reset spring to take the mushiness out and make the reset nicer and get a true 3.5 trigger weight.

My favorite combo is the - with heavier trigger reset spring and for carry pistol just the trigger spring swap.

Better yet, add a "nothing" connector for a stock trigger pull.

I guess that's an option. Might play around and see what I like best.

Here is the obligatory pic. Looks like a 1989 with proof marks. Finish on the slide is well worn but the insides look clean.
