The slide of a 42 mics at .800 in. Is there any red dot on the market small enough to fit? If you are able to fit one you may induce having issues with the pistol since the pistol in many cases walks a fine line of running reliable. It seems likes a waste of red dot optic to put on a 42. |
| Practicality aside, all of the standard models come in at over an inch in width... I believe the thinnest one is the Docter at .94 inches. Even if you were ok with the sight hanging off the sides, I don't know that you have enough width to accommodate the standard interface requirements. You can always have someone machine you an adapter plate. I'd suggest using a dovetail mount to try it out first before cutting your slide. |

Seriously? It's a pocket pistol. Lol! This. I'm all for red dots on pistols, but putting one on a 7 round, .380 pocket pistol? Yeahhhh..... that'd be a waste of a good RMR or Deltapoint, and those two are about the only ones reliable enough for slide mounted use ....I speak from experience on that too. |
