Bevel the front of the slide like the 34 on all the models? Does it raise the production cost?

Because gaston doesn't want it like that or he would have designed it like that.  Seriously, the dude rules the company with an iron fist.

Any extra machining costs money so that would be my guess as to why they don't.

Possibly so.  He's pushing that age anyways.

The first Armorer schools I went to they talked about how people have brought ideas to him and he crapped on them with a reply of "if I wanted it like that I'd have made it like that".  They also said years ago in some meeting they brought up the single stack 9 or 45, can't remember.  Supposedly his reply was something like "well we don't make those, if they want that they can get it from _________".   He appears to be eclectic for sure, and was described as very European in his business models and drive.

Probably nothing substantial.

When it comes down to it anything that has Glock on it is going to sell - a lot.

I doubt it would add any functionality to it other than holstering, but it wouldn't hurt to make them a little bit more pleasing to the eye.
