Took the 42 to the range for it's first run. Shot 200 rounds of 4 different types of ammo , critical defense 90 gr jhp,  HPR  100 gr rn,  fiocchi  xtphp 90gr,  and Winchester defend 90 gr  jhp..Only problem I had was when I was shooting the Winchester the slide locked back two times out of fifty rounds on a mag that was not empty. I was really happy that was the only thing the went wrong as I have been reading a lot of others seem to be having many issue's with this gun. The Winchester seem to have much more pop then the others I tried so maybe that had something to do with the lock open problem but not really sure.  And would like to ask if there is any thing that can be done to lighten the trigger on this gun, It is very heavy for my liking?

I bought a new G42 too on black Friday. Runs great although I've just been running a bunch of cheap fmj ammo.

A problem I had with a Kahr P380 was my thumb hitting the slide-stop lever during recoil...locking the gun open early. This seems a non-issue with the Glock's smaller lever...however maybe you have a larger right thumb?

Well that could of happened but the gun really shoot's mild (low recoil). and it only happened twice out of it's first  two hundred rounds. So I hope it was a fluke that might not show it self again. Really happy with it so far.  Except the extra heavy trigger.
