2pin or 3pin?  I'm confused!  Also, are all Gen 4's 3pin?

what's your question??? those are both three pinned glocks... i think older gen 3s are two pinned, but don't bet your savings on that... and the only glocks i know to come with extended slide releases are the 34 and 35.... so if those two glocks are yours and you want an extended slide release, get the one slated for a three pin gun (one on the backstrap and two on the frame by the trigger)

Two pin: gen 1 and 2 9mm's. Some EARLY gen 3 17's and 19's.
Three pin: all 45's, 10mm's, .40's, most gen 3 9mm's, all gen 4's except the 42.

I do not think any Gen 3s were the two pin design.  But I am not an expert, just a detail enthusiast

My good friend has a NIB 19, Gen 1 original Tupperware box, never been shot.  I have offered an AR for it and he just smiles back at me.  I will get it one day.

Yes, very early gen 3 17's and 19's were 2 pin. I recently sold an early 3rd gen, 2 pin 19.

I find slide stops even more frustrating than extractors. I have three different factory slide stops in my spare parts bin. glock continues to tweak them too.

A while back i bought the improved slide stop designed specifically for the Glock 21 (5306) and it fit terribly. Put the original back in until i got a Extended G21 release that fit very well.

I have a 2 pin Gen 3 34, so it wasn't just the early 19s & 17s.

Good to know. I believe the 17L was also 2 pin. 99.9% positive the G26 has always been 3 pin.
