OK, I'm in my mid 50's and my eyesight is deteriorating. I shot a Glock 17 with a Leupold Delta point this past weekend and found 25 yd hits easy again.
My question is which optic (Leupold, RMR, etc) would be best. I plan on mounting it on my Glock 19 carry gun that I carry every day. Thanks in advance. |

For EDC, a Trijicon RMR would be perfect. No batteries to worry about and it is just as tough as the pistol. The Deltapoint has a larger window, but I'd still go with the RMR for the reasons mentioned. The battery-less RMRs suck. They wash out in different lighting conditions, and bloom like the fire of a thousand suns when outside on a sunny day. Deltapoint, I have zero experience with, so I won't comment on it. OP, to answer your question - Go with the RM06 or RM07. They are the adjustable LED RMRs, in 3.25 and 6.5 MOA dot sizes, respectively. I personally use the 6.5 MOA, as its still thinner than my front sight post, and I'm not trying to be a bullseye shooter with it.....some people want the 3.25 MOA dot. Its all up to you. I personally find the 3.25 MOA to be too small, and have trouble picking it up. IMG_20141009_174127 by The One and Only "B"!, on Flickr
