I just installed a Zev Tech Ultimate Trigger in my Glock 22. I used the full kit, and am using the 2 lb spring. It feels like a really, really good Glock trigger. But it still feels inherently like a Glock trigger. I haven't made any adjustments to it, but I'd like to know what others have done with the pre-travel and over-travel to get the trigger to their liking.
I still want it to be 100% reliable, but part of me feels like if I bought an adjustable trigger, I should adjust the thing. |

Just a bit of advice... I would not use a lighter striker spring if you want 100% ignition reliability. That is a concern, but part of the kit is a replacement striker which has a very slightly longer tip to ensure proper ignition when used in conjunction with the 2 lb spring. Through thousands of rounds fired through my Glock, I've had a single failure with an extremely hard primer using the factory trigger. I re-chambered the round and it fired the second time around. If I get any light strikes within the first 500 rounds with this trigger, I'll absolutely replace it with the 3 lb spring. |
| I've had many rounds through a 19 with the ultimate kit installed using the "two pound" spring and have had zero ignition issues so I think they have that issue wrangled pretty well with the replacement striker. In terms of adjustment, be realistic about the functions that the trigger pull performs. You are cocking the striker back during the pre-travel unlike a 1911 so there is always going to be some pre-travel felt resistance. It will always feel a little different and ultimately a little less crisp than a true single action trigger like a nice 1911 would have. It's really more about how consistent the trigger feels throughout the cycle. With the full kit installed the pull is very smooth completely through to the break. On my pistol there was no overtravel adjustment called for, it was dead on right out of the bag. Once you've made that initial pull, reset feels very positive with very little return travel on my install. I realize that's just my experience but I wouldn't be too quick to start tweaking unnecessarily. Put a bunch of rounds though it so it's settled in and you have a sense of it's reliability then consider. BTW I did have the safety bar screw back out of the trigger and let the bar go despite the note in the package that says it's been Loctited. It is now! |

No matter what you do it's always going to feel like a Glock trigger. You can improve upon it, but It's never going to feel like a 1911. I've dry fired other people's guns with the full Zev Fulcrum kits installed and wasn't very impressed with it.

Ive been wanting to try the zev stuff but I bought a Ghost evo elite on a friends recommendation and I can't get over how well it works. I've since put them in all of my Glocks. Completely removes the "wall." Ok, I'm intrigued. Never seen anything about this connector before. Would be very interested to hear more about it. Have you also tried some other trigger kits for comparison? |
| I have not adjusted mine at all. It has negligible pre travel and over travel right out of the box. I'm also using the Zev striker and spring as well with no ignition issues using good ammo. It has problems with a couple cases of Wolf that I bought, but so do my stock Glocks and M&P. |

Have you also tried some other trigger kits for comparison? I just picked up a Zev Tech Fulcrum and put in in my 17 with the evo elite. There is maybe an 1/8 of an inch total movement of the trigger with no "wall." I didnt play with the springs as I just dont want to invite that can of worms. Yes Ive played with different connectors but not full trigger kits or springs. Im also a fan of the APEX plunger, it's much more rounded and smooth. Anyway, I'm very happy so far. Gonna use it this weekend on the range! |

Have you also tried some other trigger kits for comparison? The Evo Elite is similar to the Ghost Rocket in that it has a tab (requires fitting) which acts as a over-travel stop. The Evo Elite is supposed to remove the wall break by creating more of a rolling break. The Edge is the drop in version of the Evo Elite; it lacks the over-travel tab that needs to be fitted to the pistol. |

I installed the Zev Tech Ultimate Trigger kit in my Glock 19 and it is the best my Glock has shot in the years I've owned it. I did have some light strikes but that went away quickly after adjusting the trigger screws. Now my Glock 19 is very reliable and very accurate with no issues of light striker strikes..This is the best option I got for my Glock 19 by far. |

Scroll to the bottom of the page for the differences. And yes, it is worth it to go all-out. I love the trigger, and will be putting it in all future Glocks. |
