As the title says, I just bought a Glock 21 for my 17yo son to use. It was a police trade in for $350 OTD. Looks hardly used, (blued barrel still looks untouched, Hardly a scratch on her) My question is... What or is there anything I should know about this glock with issues had? Pro's, Con's, Etc.... I bought it from a LGS. Its a friend of mine that that I've done plenty of business with and plenty of referals sent his way. Just a spur of the moment purchase. any idea what police force they came from? ![]() How big is your LGS? It could have been a traded in there or they snagged it from a larger trade in LE dealer. |

Its requires nothing. I would give it a good cleaning and that's it. Check this link if you want to see how tough a Glock 21 is http://www.theprepared.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=90 his videos of the test https://www.youtube.com/user/schapman43/videos?view=0&sort=p&flow=list |
| I have been thinking about a 21 for a few months now, I have been casually calling around pricing them, browsing the various classifieds, called a place today who had unissued police trades....I thought great how much?? Gen3s are $499, kind of takes away from the purpose of police trades in my mind, I realize they are supposedly unissued, but they are the same price as I can get a normal 21 any day of the week. If the guy would have said $449 or 459 I might have been on my way there now, I guess I am done with my mini rant. |

I mean why would you pay close to full price for a presold gun when you can buy a confirmed brand new one? Some stores still think there is a panic going on.

So unless there was a owner that many guns of the same model...
