After 13 years of hard outdoor wear and almost no cleaning, there is a little rust on my Glock. I wear it at the farm through rain, sleet, snow, etc. and almost never clean it. I take the mag out every now and again and blow the dust and wood chips out of it, but real cleaning maybe every 6 months. I fire all the ammo in the mags and load her up with fresh along with the cleaning. It has never missed a beat.

Holy shit are you acidic or what? More than you would believe . H&K Usp pistols don't rust for along time with me, but I shoot the Glocks better. I don't mind the rust I'm use to it. I have to buy eye glasses with some form of plastic legs on the side or they just erode in months. Stainless or gold jewelry only.

Seriousness as a heart attack . Rusted the first gen4 G19 in one week and sent it back. Glock sent me a whole new upper and it started rusting in a few weeks. I bought a Kydex holster for the one in the pic that covers the side of the slide , but the back of the gun still touches my gut. Not any thing against Glock, I can rust any thing that's non stainless or gold. |

I think you should wear an undershirt man.... I've tried that. I work in a welding/ fabrication shop in the Texas heat. Undershirts just make me sweat more. I really do not care about the rust/ corrosion as long as the gun still works. When it gets too bad I'll just replace it with a new upper. Got a couple of the new H&Ks VP9's order . I had better luck with the USP's and P30's. We'll see how these work out. Also thinking about getting Goodmedicine that makes custom Kydex to make me one that wraps over the back of the gun some. I love the one he made for me last time. |

That needs to go back to Glock. They'll take care of you. |

Nobody I know so flippantly says they'll just buy a new upper when their old one rusts. |
