Just started carrying my G42 in my front jeans pocket in a Remora Holster.  Did the custom fit thing with the Remora to loosen it up.  I am 6', 220 and though I can wear 38 jeans, typically wear 42, prefer a looser fit and for when I IWB a g30.  Pockets are pretty deep and the G42 conceals well.  yes, there is a bulge, but who really looks?  I am not that concerned.  Developed a smooth draw by gripping the pistol with two middle fingers, index finger straight, and thumb resting on the back of the slide.  The thumb keeps the gun from any possible snag on the pocket.  As gun exits, replace thumb on grip.  Works for me and have been practicing, unloaded of course.

I am pocket carrying my 42 in my 5.11 shorts right now. If the pocket is large enough, it can be done. In jeans? Me? No way.

It's easy in these larger cargo style shorts.

I got the Gen3. It's great. I really like the 4 series for so many reasons over the 3, but I don't feel the least bit shortchanged by the 30S; it's a great gun... not sure about for pocket carry though.

I carry the 42 in a Sticky which is similar to the Remora, I believe. I cut the top off of it so it doesn't cover the slide all the way. Made it easier to get a hold of inside my PT-1. It works fine for cargo pocket carry for me (and pajama carry - so comfy).

With all the issues I'm reading with the 42 I wouldn't trust my life with it.

Mine works fine with Winchester and Federal 95gr FMJ. Had a few issues initially with slide locking back when rounds were still in the mag. Have not had that issue since my 300 rounds and 200 dry cycle break in. Also put 200 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense through with no issues. Mine is exclusively fortucking into my vest when riding the Streetglide, in essence back up to my carry gun. Vest has a built in band to hold gun in place. It is literally invisible. That being said the law simply states in FL that it has to be concealed not invisible.

I've been pocket carrying my G42 in a DeSantis Nemisis for about 2 months.  Works fine in jeans and shorts.

Glock revamped the newer versions of the 42. Same thing happened with the 36.

It's all good.

Except when it's not and your new version has numerous malfunctions.

Nevertheless I'll stick with my 26 for deep concealment.

I bought a Blackhawk #4 pocket holster for my wife, it fits in my pocket pretty well.

I carry mine in a Blackhawk # 4 Pocket Holster, with a Herbertz small KNIFE pouch for the second mag. It´s marked "Herbertz" .. really stealthy. The small version and the G 42 mag fit like custum made.

I have NEVER had a jam at actual firing, but "hard" chambering on some JHP ammo for the first round.

Trigger is too heavy, I want a "-" connector, and night sights made from steel.

If it has numerous malfunctions, why would you carry it? If you get it fixed, and its truly fixed, why not carry it?

I didn't carry it. I got rid of it. I've owned and shot enough GLOCKs that anything less than 100% is unacceptable. That, and quite frankly, I just didn't like it. I think the G42 is a mistake.

The only plus side to the G42, in my opinion, is that we will hopefully see a trouble free G43 9mm. They will sell more "G43s" in all likelyhood, so why not get the bugs worked out on the G42. I hope this is the case, anyway.

Glock should have never released the gun for sale until it functioned 100% with all available commercial 380 ammo.

They screwed up.
