I remember an old archived thread from last fall about this that was inconclusive...
Wondering if there is any news on if/when the 30S gen 4 is going to be available? |

I spoke to a high up guy at the Glock booth at the SHOT Show and he told me they had no plans to gen4 the 30S.
Based off that I bought the gen3 and I'm dropping it off with a good buddy who does great stippling. I prefer the gen4 texture over the gen3 but it's not a huge deal to me. |

Talked to Glock today - rep said they no plans for the Gen 4 (although I bet they do).
I felt better about the Gen 3(.5) after I learned it has the 4's dual recoil spring. Felt so good about it... that I picked one up locally this afternoon. The lack of an ambi release isn't a concern for me and the grip texture wasn't going to make or break the sweetheart deal I got. Couldn't be happier. It feels and looks similar to a 19, with a bit of a thicker grip. Best of both worlds between the 30 and 36. Should have have bought one sooner. |
