So my 4th gen G17 has had an exceptionally heavy trigger since I got it.  I put a Glockworx V4 race connector in it, and it was still heavier than my stock 3rd gen guns.  Neither of my other gen 4s were stock when I bought them, so I thought maybe it was normal for a gen 4.  Today I took it apart to clean it after yesterday's range trip, and I found this in the striker channel...

Once I removed this and reassembled the gun, the trigger was miraculously lighter.  My gen 4 G19 and G34 do not have one of these, and I don't remember ever seeing one in a gen 3 either.  So...what the hell is it?

That's the Striker Channel liner.

It fell out with the striker. My others don't do that. Normal?

Edit: watched the video now. I bet it was left in when it was machined for the RMR and is now distorted. Thanks for the vid!
