Sights. Yup, didn't think of that one. I always change mine I'm not sure the need (or appeal) for replacing the stock sights? I own 7 Glocks and all have stock sights; 6 w/ standard and one w/ glock night sights. They all work as designed and have never failed. I've carried daily for years and even competed w/ my G21. I do usually change to the extended slide release and the trigger bar to 3.5# for comp guns o/w run stock. They just plain work! YMMV. |

One handed drills, dropping the gun, etc. Even if you installed cheap all black steel sights it would be better. I always put night sights on my Glocks. I also prefer smooth triggers instead of the ridged one that comes stock. Edit: Also holster(s). I have spent a lot of money on good holsters figuring out what I like. Depending on position of carry, I would recommend INCOG by G-Code for AIWB, Crossbred Supertuck for IWB between 4-5 o'clock, Raven Concealment Phantom holster for OWB 3 o'clock, and Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 for off body (in a bag) or minimalistic carry. Keeping the trigger covered on a loaded Glock is very important. |

For a Gen 3 I add sights, Vickers mag release, grip plug, and Talon gun grips. ETA: I also get a light since this gun is used for home defense along side my AR15. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x561q90/46/yyhf.jpg sexy photo why a grip plug? ETA: for the group - thoughts on a TTI baseplate for 23+1 for a HD gun? |

Not my photo, but I put grip plugs in my Glocks because I think they look better with them and it doesn't adversely affect functionality. Purely aesthetic and personal preference. I don't routinely recommend them to anyone as a "must have." I just keep a 33 round magazine in mine when it is in the safe in case for some reason it is what I grabbed when I wake up at night. My personal choice for home defense is when I am awake: I am still concealed carrying like I do all day long anyway. If I am asleep and have to grab a gun from the safe, it will be my AR-15. Regarding the baseplate, I am always in favor of more bullets. |
