Ok so I've owned a g19 for about two years now, haven't upgraded anything, shot about 3k rounds through it and I'd like to upgrade the sights and trigger. For the sights I'm set on trijicon hd night sights but for an upgraded CARRY trigger system, I need some advice. Looking to keep trigger weight around 4-5.5lbs, but I'd like to change the feel. I want a flatter aluminum trigger, with less or no over travel after shot breaks as well as less take up before the predictable wall.. Anyone have any advice on their trigger systems they like?

For carry, stick to OEM parts.  Don't mess with all sorts of after market products. At 3k the firearm should be pretty smooth. I would suggest a Glock OEM (-) connector and a NY1 trigger spring. This will take up a small bit of travel in the trigger before the break, with a clean break and a more positive trigger reset for faster follow up shots. This combo will keep you in the 5 lbs. area.  For a total of about 20 bucks try this first. Trijicon HD's are a great choice BTW.

Another vote for Glock (-) OEM connector and a NY1 trigger spring.

I wouldn't swap any OEM parts out.   Do a flitz/q tip trigger job if it feels a little rough.

I would say leave it stock but since you are looking for certain changes I also concur OEM  - connector with NY 1 spring

Could someone describe exactly what the NY trigger spring does and how it changes the feel? Never really looked into that

Ordered. Thanks for the advice, I'll try it out and see what I think.

Look at my post below and the post after to get an idea of what you are looking at, middle of page. The NY1 is a stronger spring that brings the standard 5.5 lbs up to 8.5 lbs. It was found with the combination of a (-) connector you could achieve a 5 to 5.5 lbs trigger with a more positive reset, (meaning) it pushes your finger of the trigger a little faster with more force.  This allows you to have faster follow up shots. It also takes up a little of the pretravel when staging the trigger before the break. This combo became popular in the early 2000's when departments started to field G35's and G34's, but needed a 5 lbs stock trigger pull for policy as the G34/35 came with the 4 lbs. (-) connector. That is what happened when my department swiched from G22's to G35's. I prefer this combo in all my Glock's.

It basically makes it into a heavier feeling single stage trigger instead of a double stage that is comparable to the stock trigger.

I don't care for them personally, but there are a lot of people that like the NY trigger spring with the 3.5lb connector.

In my opinion, there's a little weight in the trigger pull, but it removes the "wall" or second stage at the the end of the stock trigger pull. In other words, it's a little stiffer, but more of a single stage, with a more positive reset.

I run all of my Glocks (except the G42) like this.

I'd like to try a Glock OEM (-) connector but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I see third party ones but not the one manufactured by Glock. Anyone have a link?

I like the skimmer trigger by glocktriggers.com.  It OEM parts.  Has the smooth trigger, rather than the ridged one that comes standard on most Glocks.  I did decide to go back to the standard full power striker spring rather than the decreased power one that comes with the kit because I was concerned it was effecting reliability with some ammo having light primer strikes.  And honestly I didn't notice much difference in trigger pull between the two.

Ghost 3.5 and a wollf 6lb trigger spring. The OEM spring - as he said is often too lite and you end up with dimpled primers and no BOOM. Ive done this set up 3 times on 3 glocks I dont like slop and glock gives it to ya but these parts make it like a single stage snap
