Just found another issue with my Gen4 with less than 100 rounds. The frame is chipping... anyone seen this before? http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll12/rangewarrior123/GlockFrameChipping_zpsb7bf87aa.png That's a new one for me. I'd contact Glock ASAP and have them make it right. Eta: just saw your other post. Glock needs to send you a complete replacement gun. |

Judging by the serrations on the lower right corner of that pic, it looks like it is the slide and not the frame or am I seeing this wrong? If it is in the frame is it the actual plastic or on the locking block or another metal part?
Could you give us a picture that is zoomed out so we can identify the part or look at a parts diagram and tell us the part number / name? Also what model / gen gun is it and could you give us the serial number prefix and see if anyone else here has a similar prefix and has the same issue. What type ammo did you use, thats probably not the issue but might help. Thanks for posting these pictures, hopefully this is a isolated issue and not another Gen 4 RSA / extractor / ejector issue. |

Can someone explain this to me, how is there a picture with what looks like the slide serrations in the lower right hand corner and the guide rails ( don't know if that is the right name for them) that are on the frame in the same picture? Am I looking at this wrong?
Also, if that is a chip on the plastic frame wouldn't it still be black and not a steel / metal color that it shows in the picture? If this is were the plastic is wearing through to some metal part, what metal part is it wearing through to? I'm really confused by this picture / problem, can someone help? |

The OP disassembled the gun and placed the frame on top of the flipped over slide. The area being shown is right behind the dustcover between the front frame rails. What we are seeing is not a chip persay, but a thin spot in the plastic revealing the metal insert of the frame rails underneath. It's nothing to be concerned about. |

That is correct, I rested the frame on the slide so I could take the picture. The metal you are seeing is the front rail on the left hand side of the frame if you were pointing the gun away from you. Do all gen4 guns have this issue? |
