| Called Gt Distributors the other day to check stock status of 26 Gen 4 blue labels and was told there are 100+ people on the list to get them and wait could be 6 months or more. What's the deal with Glock and blue label production? Are other models this back logged or is the 26 just that popular? I went ahead and got on the list but sure wish the wait wasn't so long. |

Most manufacturers are backlogged, the LGS's only carry whatever they receive. And I'm pretty sure the manufacturers make more $ from full priced sales than 'blue label' sales so guess which orders they are going to fill first.
I have a pair of Sig 220 Carry SAO's on order with GT in austin for about 3 months now. It could be over 8 months before I receive them still. With that said, GT is still the way to go. I got my Colt 6940 from them last year in about 10 weeks. Ordered it in like Oct of 12 and received it in early Jan, 2013. For $1200. That was right after sandy hook and the average price on gunbroker for 6940's at that time was like $2900. I heard alot of stories of backorders being cancelled by dealers so they could resell the guns that came in at higher prices. I appreciate that GT already has awesome prices and doesnt participate in that sketchy BS |
| You should check other local Glock LE dealers vs a distributor like GT if you're really needing one ASAP. Dealers usually tack on a $20-30 upcharge to make a bit of money but it beats waiting MONTHS. I bought my new duty Glock from a local LE dealer instead of having to wait for GT to restock. Walked in, walked out. |
| Thanks for the info, I'm not in a hurry for it and GT Dist is the closest blue label dealer to where I live. I want to get some trijicon HDs installed when I buy it and GT Dist say they will install for free if the gun and sights are both bought there. I guess I assumed most manufacturers were either catching up or caught up from the early 2013 buying frenzy but I guess I was wrong. Oh well now to set back and wait and try to decide what holster I want and start stocking up on ammo, this will be my first 9mm. My other handgun is a HK USPc in 40 and I'm really thinking about offering it for trade for the same model but in 9mm. |
