Is it true with medium back strap installed it brings the grip closer to the Gen3 feel? No back strap seems a bit smaller and comfortable and not as fat as my old Gen3 I had.

A medium back strap would be equivalent to a gen 3.

no backstrap = 2mm smaller
medium = same
large = +2mm

no back strap should be very close to a generation 3 SF model...mine feels better to me than my SF ever did...but I like the Gen4s...AJE gave you the rest of the story...:D
