Never been a Glock owner, though do have about 400rds downrange in various models, and am considering picking up a Gen 4 G19. I've read a lot about them and all the various action mods folks like to make. In my limited time behind one, I don't really have any issue with how they go bang.

So I am curious, how many of you long-time owners are still rockin' a stock from the factory Glock?

I have one that I've made significant modifications to, and that only involved a new aftermarket slide and conversion barrel, so in ten seconds it's back to being stock.

A gen 4 19 is my EDC and the only thing I've done to it is a smooth trigger, which really is a stock part anyway.

Mine are stock except for sights.

All of mine are stock except smooth triggers.

One has an extended slide stop, and one has Trijicons. But I only have been doing the Glock thing for around 2 years.

As far as stock guns go, theyre pretty hard to beat (maybe besides the sights). I thought I would change out the serrated trigger on the 19 at first, but so far it hasn't bothered me.

Stock GLOCKs are perfectly fine.

The only change I made was to put Henie sights on them.  But that is strictly a personal choice.

Stock sights work good also.

Stock its good. Add some night sights and its perfect. Or in my case night sights and an extended mag release.

Other than the 25 cent trigger job, mine are all stock.

Only thing to change on a 19 are the sights and the trigger (replace with a smooth one).  Rest of it is perfection.

so to answer your question, the only stock glock is the one you see in the store before you take it home

I do night sights and 3.5# connectors.

Stock except for sights and the .25 trigger job.  On some models I like the OEM extended slide release.

I have a few KKM barrels too, but unless I'm shooting lead or a heavy handload, it's always stock.

Stock works for me.
12/22/2013 10:45:10 AM EDT

Better sights and a 3.5lb connector are all that needs to be done.  That and picking the right backstrap for you on the Gen 4's.

Stock here, for years. Gen 3 19

My g19 used for carry is still bone stock and rocks.  I wouldn't mind adding a set of heines but aside from that i don't feel the need to do any more work to it.

My 17, 34, and 26 all have a little bit of trigger work and sights....i like them too.
12/22/2013 11:41:21 AM EDT
[#16]
Both my duty guns are bone stock with the exception of Tru-Glo TFOs on my service 22.  My 27 is completely unaltered.  After 10+ years in LE, it has never needed alteration.  Mind you these aren't competition guns, but they've never had a problem hitting what I point them at.

I own 8 Glocks and all are stock except for swapping out the stock sights for Trijicon.

"Stock". My gen 4 19 has mep adjustable night sights, and I put the factory "minus" connector in it (g34?), as well did minor polishing. It is "stock" factory parts, but not box stock. I really like the trigger now, and it's the best carry gun I've owned as it's low recoil, great capacity yet concealable.

Not sure how many Glocks I've owned, but of the 13 I still have......... doesn't matter they all get the same treatment........ stock except for sights.... some of my IDPA guns will get Glock extended slide locks.

Stock is the way to go!

Stock except for sights (GL433's), extended SS, extended mag release, dot connector (which is a stock part) and baseplates.

My EDC 23 is all stock except for night sights.

My 35 is cerakoted with some slide machining work done.  Threaded barrel.

The RTF22 is stock except for the original G35 barrel which will be threaded soon.

The 24C is bone stock and I'm leaving it that way

The 17 is not stock any more with taller Ameriglos and a Storm Lake 1/2-28 threaded barrel.

The 21SF RTF NiBX will be getting a threaded barrel also.  Can't decide between GLOCK in 16x1L or a LWD in .578-28 to match my pending can.

This.   The gun is perfect when it leaves the factory, just install the sights of your choice.  The best thing about the Glock is that it is stupid reliable.  The after market parts people insist on installing impair that reliability.  Spend your money on good holsters, mags, and ammo.

I have 2 right now that are both set up to be EDC. However I plan on getting a stock glock with NS for SHTF. I think I will get a Fullsized and since I already have a compact and subcompact.

Keep combat handguns stock, the more crap you add the more it seems people have problems

Urban commando is right - I am around a ton of glocks and the ones that choke in 99.5% of cases have aftermarket parts in them. Better sights are all I do. My current go to is a model 19 from the early 90's

Thanks for all the opinions everyone. I appreciate it. Other than sights, I will leave it alone. Now to decide between a 19 and a 23.

Smooth trigger and night sights are the only mods any of mine have.  Seems like anytime I hear about a problem with a Glock it starts with "I changed out stock parts for all these fancy aftermarket stuff and now the weapon doesn't work".  Well, wonder what the problem could be?

The only thing you need is a good set of Night Sites and a Light if you want one. You can also do a custom stipple job which some think will increase the price by about $150-$200 if you decide to sell it.

My Glock is factory.  I am considering new sights.  I would like to replace the plastic ones.

Been rocking stock internals on a  Glock for 3 years now and have no complaints. The mods I have are night sights and grip tape if that counts as mods.

I did try a 3.5 connector, but went back to a factory for the more positive reset.
