I just bought my this gun as my first glock about a month ago... I am not new to shooting glocks though as I have shot many that friends have owned.  Anyways, my gen 3 g19 trigger seems to be a lot heavier than other stock triggers I have felt in stores and shot. The taking up the slack part feels normal but the part right before it breaks is very heavy like it almost feels like it gets stuck and then you have to apply ALOT of pressure to get it to break. I did a google search to see if this is a problem and found one forum where this topic was discussed and the consensus there seemed to be that some newer  gen 3's might possibly have something wrong with the trigger.  Has anyone else experienced this? Also I was wanting to put a flat faced g17 trigger in it anyways. So I was thinking that new trigger and trigger bar and maybe ordering a new connector with it might fix the problem. Should that fix it or do I need to call glock and send it to them?

P.s. It is NOT a NY trigger. No I have not measured it or had it measured with a digital scale so I do not know the actual weight, but I do know that it is not right and you can feel the difference very easily. If I had to compare it to a trigger pull...  I would compare it to my sig 10 lb. DA pull

Was the gun NIB when you got it?  What does the box say the trigger configuration is?

Putting the G17 trigger and trigger bar in is fine, but it likely won't affect the trigger weight very much.  The big thing there is the connector.  Assuming you know how, take the lower apart and see if the connector in the gun is marked.  There is a chance it might be the + connector.  If you are going to order parts anyway, getting a new factory connector would be a good plan.  Maybe order a 5lb and a 3.5lb and see which you like.  I think it is better to stick to the 5lb, unmarked connector for carry.

Yes i purchased it NIB... The box says it is the stock 5.5 lb trigger and I have detail stripped the gun and the connector is the unmarked one

It is way cheaper to just buy the G17 trigger bar and new connector..I would try that first before sending it to glock

New trigger bar and connector would be a cheap thing to try.  You could also try parts you know are good from another pistol.

Yep I believe that's what I am going to do... I was mainly just wondering if anyone else here has run into this problem. I guess I can just chalk it up to being one of the unlucky ( if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all lol) ones to have something wrong with mine from the factory.... Thanks for the responses guys

Dry fire it and lube the connector. The copper break in lube is probably what you are feeling. There is a 5.5 and a 4.5 connector now, a 4.5 would help some, but a general cleanup of the triggerbar and the connector would help.
