Passed on a cherry Gen2 G19 yesterday. Serial LF386. Meprolights were all but dead, but no wear on slide. Only slight wear on barrel hood and very little on barrel itself. Inside of frame and under the slide was clean as a whistle. Rep said it was brought in by some dude in his 60's who bought it and put it in his safe after firing it a little. Came with original Tupperware box, everything in it, and two mags.
Price was $399.99. I'm kicking myself today. |

If that price was firm out the door with both mags (after you tried to haggle) and you had the cash to spend, it was a fail. These guns are only going to go up in price. We are already seeing it. Some people love Gen 2s but the over all quality of earlier guns are case in point. I'm looking high and low for an early 26. |

No, that was before tax and there would have been no flexibility on the price. Actual OTD cost would have been in the neighborhood of $432. Even that, I think, would have been more than fair based on the condition and collectibility of the Gen2s. Hell, the condition alone made that one a rare find. Honestly, I didn't really have the cash to spend which is why I passed. I currently have one Glock (a Gen4 G26) and a Shield that I rotate for carry. If anything, it would have filled a truck gun role, but as I said I didn't really have the cash to spend. Someone else got a nice Gen2, instead. The greater lesson learned: I should have never sold the last Gen2 I owned. |

I can never pass on a sub $400 Glock. There is a Gen2 G23 there with a bit of visible wear in the slide and barrel for $319. I checked the bore, though, and the rifling still looks good. I was tempted to grab it, but there is the whole concern about the .40 chamber support in older Glocks. I would never shoot reloads through it but still. There is a Gen3 G23 for $379... |
