Hello everyone, I have been a lurker on this website for a long time. So much to read and so much to learn! Anyways, I just wanted to get on and express how much I love my Glock 22 Gen 4. It has been so reliable and one of the best shooters I have owned. I love the stock trigger. Ever since I have learned "trigger control", only releasing to reset and then firing again, it has helped my accuracy so much! I love this gun. Never had a failure of any kind with any kind of ammunition.  With the Trijicon Bright and Tough nights sights, my Surefire X300 and my Raven concealment holster (which surprisingly has to go back for adjustment, not enough retention), it is the perfect "go to war" gun as they say haha! I have several times wanted to sell it to buy even just a Glock 35 or a different gun, but I cannot. I don't know what it is. I have never been like this about a gun. I started life with a Springfield XD 40 cal, sold it for an M&P 40, traded that for a 1911 and traded that for this gun (plus extras). I will be a Glock guy till the end. I will just have to buy other guns around my Glock 22, but this one will stay with me forever. Okay, thats all, just wanted to express how amazing this gun is and how much I love it.

Same thing OP.

I have always been a 1911 guy, but I bought my first Glock in 98, and kept it for a while, sold it, and got another one, traded that one for an M&P because I thought it would be similar to a 1911 in design. Of coarse I knew the trigger wouldn't compare, but I liked having a "Glock" type pistol with a thumb safety.

Didn't like the M&P, and traded it for a G22 gen4. I use this more than my 1911's now. Just something about a Glock for me.
I also had a Kimber ultra carry II that I could never trust. I finally got it to be reliable after some tweaking, but in the back of my mind, I always had that doubt. I found myself constantly function checking it more than needed. Every time before I left the house with it, I would do the pencil eraser test to make sure the firing pin was striking.

I just recently traded it for a G27 gen 4, and I freeking love that thing 300 rd's right out of the box all went bang, and the little sucker is accurate.

I still like, and will keep my 2 other full size 1911's, but I always will rely on my Glock's.

The Gen4 line has some great improvements.

I absolutely love my M&Ps, but I bought a Gen4 G26 for carry. I will probably end up buying a G17 to go with it at some point.
