I traded into a brand new (VAV### serial number) new 19 Gen 4 yesterday. I have owned a Gen 1 G19 (wish I had never traded) so not new to the platform.  I took it to the range today and ran 180 rounds through it (100 rounds of American Eagle, 30 of Remington golden saber and 50 Speer Gold dot some +P).

It ran flawless and was accurate.  It's my new SHTF sidearm and bedside gun.

I am a happy camper.

Nothing other than going to install a cap in the grip to keep out dust and dirt.

I picked up a 30s last week. I really like it and will probably switch between the two for CC.   It does have a snappy recoil.

I think you mean a Gen2 G19....If it was truly Gen 1 it was worth a WHOLE LOT of money....it is rarer than Obama being pro gun

You may be right but I do not remember mine having having the checking on the front. I put uncle mikes rubber grips on it. It was purchased in early 1989.  I think this is around the time of the switch.

That was a great link and thanks for sharing it. I still don't remember the grip looking like the gen 2 image but I'm probably wrong given the rarity. It was a while ago.
