I was reading about gen 2 recalls and I bought a used police trade in g19 in 2004.

The store had a ton of them and they claimed they were refurbished by glock.

I've shot 1000s of rounds thru it and carried the crap out of it.

I'm guessing it was probably taken care of when refurbished?

Should I worry about it?

All you need to know about the Gen 2 recall.

If the trigger bar is silver it's been upgraded...

I don't see the "relief cuts" mentioned at that link.... Does anyone know when they implemented this?

If it works who cares? Don't go looking to fix what is not broke- this is the road where all collisions between fully functional and paperweight occur

I have several Gen2's, never a problem. I recently traded for a LNIB G19 Gen2 serial# SX###, I was going to send it back, but I decided to just shoot it. If it ever breaks, I'll send it back then. I'm sure there's several thousand Gen2 G19's out there still rockin' that never got sent back. When the night sights on it go bad, I may consider it then too?!

I'm pretty sure I might have all the upgraded parts as spares anyway, not too hard to replace any of them if need be.

Good luck to all!!!

Back around 2001 I believe, there was a rare Glock recall involving slide rails on the frame. The affected guns had E prefex serial ##'s. Glock replaced the entire frame and the old serial # has a "1" added, i.e. "1EEE123US"
