How much do you think it costs GLOCK INC. to build a gun at their factory?    Just curious to find out if anyone has taken a tour of the Glock facility and asked.

Gaston was once interviewed by Forbes, I believe, and he said it cost him something like $75 to manufacture a Glock.

I figured it was probably under 100 dollars.

Once you've paid for the molds I would think the frames would be cheap, I suppose the rest of it would be similar to other pistols. They are paying Austrian workers to do the work though, v. buying 1911 frames from south america.

Now the true question is if that includes labor and shipping??

Labor in Europe is expensive, not just from a $ per hour but because Europe is baisicly all socialists. This means employers also have to pay an extra "employment" tax, for ever worker they have they have to pay more tax, regardless of how much these workers are paid. I'm sure Glock workers are also in a Union. Thus with out a doubt, each one costs Glock around $130k a year.
