I was just wondering how many people love the glock 27 on here.?As for me its one of my favorites. I have one. I think it is a reasonable carry gun but I don't consider it to be a "shooter". I love my Glocks (17, 19, 21, and 27) but the G27 does not come anywhere near giving me the kind of shooting satisfaction that my G21 does. Still, I am thankful that I have it. My fiance keeps it with her and almost had to pull it on a hot-tempered guy who was road raging. When he realized that she would not hesitate to show him the error of his ways, he backed off and went away. If for no other reason, for that I will never sell that gun. To me the G27 seems to have too little mass for the .40 S&W round and the grip doesn't go deep enough but Its mere presence kept my fiance safe so I gotta give it some love for being there. |
| Had an early one and sold it; too much muzzle flip and like the above poster I kept bumping the slide release. Much happier with a G26 (I had my G27 before you could find conversion barrels). I do have a complete G23 upper for my G19 that I shoot on occasion but overall I really don't care for .40. |

I have a love-dislike relationship with the 27.
A few years back I was en route to being issued a 22 and the 27 was the approved off-duty carry, but I'm a bigger fan of the 23 which is my CCW piece now. I enjoy shooting the 27 with the GLOCK +2s, but then I have my 23 in terms of grip size. Maybe again someday I'll pick one up, or if I find a screaming deal on one. The 27 does conceal better in my bladetech holster. |

Carried one for about 10 years, but would much rather carry a G26 if given the option (much faster follow ups).
Good shooter, but not for new shooters in my opinion. I often refer to it as a hand canon, matter of fact I traded my G27 for a G29sf.... the person I traded it to asked me if I'd ever shot a 10mm, I explained that I owned several of them, and was wondering if he had shot a G27..... he dismissed my concerns, only to post it for sale three days later. Great gun overall, but not for the faint of heart. ~g |
