I bought a used 27 from a guy and can not get this thing to fire a complete mag.  I can only get it to fire once out of maybe 20 rounds.  It appears the striker is not hitting the primer hard enough.  I have changed the recoil spring assembly with a factory glock spring, and also the striker spring with a new standard power spring.  The striker channel has been cleaned multiple times (just to make sure there is no crap in there) and still have the same problem.  Anyone have any thoughts before I take this thing somewhere to get fixed?

Check that the trigger bar is moving the striker safety fully out of the way?

I wonder if he tried to do some trigger mods and screwed it up.

Have you ever detail stripped a frame before?   If you take the trigger parts out it shouldn't be hard to tell if anything has been modified.  The stock parts should be gray with a dull finish.   You can post some pictures if you have a decent focus if you're not sure about excessive wear or modification.

Not the greatest pics, but hopefully you can get an idea off them.  I do know this thing has an aftermarket trigger in it.  BTW, this is my first Glock and I know absolutely nothing about them.

put the factory trigger parts in it and try it - seems like that fixes a lot of problems we see posted here

I wish I had the factory trigger parts.  It does it with both factory and reloaded ammo.  I am hopefully going to meet up with a local guy this weekend that also has a stock 27 and flip flop slides.  Hopefully that can tell me one way or the other.

glockparts.com is my go-to vendor for any extra or replacement parts.  They ship quick, too.  If the stock trigger bar does not fix the issue, might try swapping the striker out, and trying again.  Light strikes with a new striker spring sound like the striker is not being pulled back far enough before releasing.  Worn/ground down tooth on the striker could cause that, as can a jacked up trigger bar.

Do you have another gun with factory parts you could swap in?  This is almost always a case of someone getting carried away with a trigger job.

I'm pretty confident it will work with OEM parts.  As mentioned before, glockparts.com is a great source, as is Lone Wolf.

Long delay on this, but I think I finally got this figured out.  I replaced the striker safety, it had a few dings on it, and ran 2 mags through it with no problems.  It appears the safety was hanging up enough to not allow the striker to fully drop.  Thanks for your thoughts!!
