| Does a steel guide rod really make a difference in accuracy, or is it just me? |

it makes the front of the gun a little heavier.
i run one in my OD17 and 22, and in my 24. im planning on getting one for my 21SF next. i like them. so far, i prefer the ones that have a washer at both ends and completely capture the spring. the ones i that are in the OD17/22, i originally bought for use in my G24. due to the nature of the design of the G24 and where the spring sits, the front of the guiderod on the non-dual-washer version kept getting caught up in the action on the G24. (the spring would work thru the 3/4 circle/cutout the guiderod sits on on the G24, whereas on other non-extended slide models the guiderod sits in a full circle at the end of the slide) the other guiderod with the twin washers corrected this problem on the G24. going forward, this is the only type ill buy. |
They're handy for changing springs/spring rates though.
