They are addicting.   I did one, not planning on going to any others this year, then ended up driving 3hrs to another one, with plans on doing the same in October.

They are expensive here compared to IDPA or USPSA which is 20 bucks especially when you only have a few stages

I did three divisions last time, was thinking of doing four the next.

I don't consider $100 cheap.

I only shot two guns so $30. I don't know where or how to get into idpa or uspa or any other types of competitive shooting.

Was this an indoor match? I think those are scored differently than the GSSF match with three stages: Glock the Plates, Glock M, and 5 to Glock.

I'm sure that's what he meant, otherwise his score would be a time.

I found the indoor matches pretty fun and more laid back, although there are a lot less people around at the club I went to.

In Ohio, you can go to outdoor matches in Dayton (May), Marietta (July), MI, WV, PA, and I think there used to be one in Indianapolis but they didn't have it this year.

This.

GSSF is a lot more fun than shooting boring groups at the range.  IDPA and USPSA are a lot more fun than GSSF.
