| Is there a option on the Gen 4 Glock G23/19 for smooth triggers and NY trigger springs? |
|
Could you rephrase your question? Do you mean a from the factory option? If so, probably not. If you mean something like the Minus (-) connector with a NY1 trigger spring, many who like that setup on a Gen3 gun don't care for it on the Gen4 due to the different trigger-connector geometry. The dot (.) connector was designed to lighten the Gen4 trigger pull weight while having a "safe" duty trigger.

You can get smooth gen 4 triggers. GLOCK doesn't recommend changing them to a gen 3 trigger due to multiple changes, but people do it anyway and I haven't heard of any problems with it, so long as you don't change the mag release to the other side.
The connectors are slightly different, and they don't yet have a "dot -" available for us to purchase, but you can put a standard "-" connector in with a NY trigger spring, it will just be slightly heavier than the same set up in a gen 3. The change in trigger weight is not due to the trigger bar, it's because the connector is sitting at a slightly different angle due to the reduced length of the grip. |
