I'm just wondering who makes a good polymer magwell for the Gen 4's? I see some require you to use them with a specific backstrap, I would like one that I can use with any back strap. I like the polymer as they cost about a third of the metal ones. Any first hand experience would be great as well.

| I do not own one, but I haven't read anything good about the polymer ones that I've been looking at, which is really disappointing. I'm probably going to end up buying a metal one from Dawson and paying between $70-80...but you know the deal...buy once, cry once. |
| All of the current Gen4 specific backstraps are for the small grip except for the Dawson Precision. They make them for all three sizes. I bought a medium and installed it on the small grip and there is really no noticable gap (1mm is the size diff between straps). I did not get the large and try the medium strap but I imagine it would be the same. Now if you used the large on the small frame, you might have a noticeable gap. You might call Dawson and ask them. Very nice product and worth the money. |
