Are current production gen 4 good to go or are there still issues with them?

Mine has been most excellent. It was made in March. I have ~1000 rounds through it. No BTF. Accurate. Winning.

I bought my second one today.  Spent shell casing is 4-11-13.  Hope it runs as good as the one I bought earlier this year.

It's hit or miss, OP.

My Gen 4 Glock 26 is running perfectly. I thought the only problem was with the recoil spring which they fixed in short order? (and was only on Gen 4 Glock 17's I thought)

My 19 was test fired on 2/26 and has been 100% through about 500 rounds.

Mine was test fired 4/18/2013. Almost 1000 rounds through it and no problems yet. Knock on wood.

No misses here.  I've got a Gen4 22, 23, 27, and 34 and they've all been good so far.  Admittedly, I live close to Glock so I've taken all of my Glocks to them for tune-ups.  It's possible they fixed any issues with updated parts before they occurred.

It's also not just a Gen 4 issue.  The misinformation has gone viral on this topic.

I don't know that its really misinformation as much as a lack of consistency.   In the armorer's course they said only 2 or 3% of guns are coming back with these problems.   I would interpret that as likely double that number, and probably 10 times that number of people actually having problems and not going through with sending it in, just bitching about it on the internet.

I was really talking more about people saying only the Gen 4's have issues.  the current issues are in both Gen 3 and Gen 4 guns.

I have two gen4 glocks so far both 2012 test fires. Have over two thousand rds on each and have been flawless.
One is the glock 23g4 and the other glock21g4.

my gen 4 23 and 27 have been perfect. 700 rounds on the 23 and 400 on the 27. I don't think the .40 ever had the issues though. If I remeber it was the 9mm with the ejection/extraction issues.

600 rounds through my G19 Gen4 with a variety of ammo - ZERO problems.

My Gen 4 G22 runs like a top, but the Gen 4 design is more friendly to the hotter cartridges. When I was breaking in my Gen 4 G34 the other day my buddy seemed to be having weak ejection and failure to lock the slide on the last round... but I didn't have these problems so I assume he was limp wristing and possibly activating the extended slide release with his thumb. Seems that the Gen 4's do like hotter ammo than their predecessors as a general thing.

My G34 Gen 4 with fired case of 4-23-13 has been flawless.
I have over 1000 rounds through her so far.

My Glock 19 was in need of being sent back before I fired my first round.
3/26/13 test fire date.
Would not properly load rounds into the chamber.
Glock swapped the extractor. And I was good to go.

Oh, I agree with that.
