[ARCHIVED THREAD] - G17 for CCW

How many of you guys are carrying G17s? How do you carry them? I'm not exactly a big guy (5' 11", 180 lbs), and I think in a IWB rig the grip frame might stick out and give away my little secret.

I am 5' 11" and about 220 or so. I carry my 17 at 3:30/4:00 in a comp tac C-TAC IWB. The grip prints under a t-shirt, but with a loose shirt or jacket, no problems.

Get a G 26 or 27 for carry, i carry a 19 and in the summertime its a little much

I get a 19 for CCW. You only give up two rounds and no shootability to the 17. I have carried a G19 daily for several years.

If you already have the G17 a good holster is cheaper than a new gun. I prefer the full size myself. Try it out before you decide, you may think differently once you've carried it for a while.

i carry a G19 with 2 G17 mags for backup. it's the best of both worlds.

I'd like a G19 for CCW, but a new Glock isn't in the cards right now. Eventually that's the route I plan on going. I think I might be able to get by with the G17 in an IWB holster under a little heavier shirt (not a T-shirt), which is what I wear most of the time anyway. Which holster do you guys recommend for a lefty?
