I just got a new gen4 19 today and I have owned several gen 4 and gen3 is this red stuff normal around the firing pin. first time I have ever seen it. and its not copper lube its more of a red color as u can see in the pic.

looks like primer sealer. check your fired case in the box to see if the test case has it too. should wipe right off though.

thanks I just checked the spent casings that came with it and theres a little bit of red on the left and right side. like a small line. but it did rub right off.

Primer sealant. Oil+patch = gag.

as everyone else mentioned perfectly normal...
Gun Scrubber will rinse it right off...and if there any stubborn spots hit it with a tootbrush
