I just sold a handgun today I wanted to replace it will a gen 2 glock. I was looking for a full size gen 2 and stumbled across this g20.
I offered the shop $360 but they were firm at $399. Is this a good deal for a 1991 G20? It comes with two mags. 10mm is scarce at the moment which is another thing that worries me. |

Not a terrible price, if its in nice condition and the mags are standard capacity. If you're just looking for a large frame, I'd hold out for a 21. I've seen Gen2 police trades for <$350. Mags are standard capacity. I like the idea of 10mm. I guess I could always throw a .45 conversion barrel in it if ammo becomes a problem. I think I will end up offering the pawn store 3-5 ar mags+plus $360 for it tomorrow. The PX had some 10mm jhp in stock so I think I will clean them out tomorrow. ETA: Thanks for the advice. |

There is no .45acp conversion barrel for a G20. There is a 10mm conversion barrel for a G21; reports are spotted about extraction issues with the 10mm conversion barrels. I shoot a G20, but reload, so ammo shortages aren't concerning me at the moment.
Those standard-cap mags might be worth $100 each really soon. Good for you, unless you want to buy some more. |

On the Glock 20 slide, the notch where the extractor holds the cartridge against the breechface is only wide enough for a 10mm case. So if you wanted to convert a Glock 20 to shoot .45 ACP, you'd need not only a .45 ACP barrel and magazines, but also a different slide. |
