Hi, I know there have been reported issues with the 3rd gen .40 G22's  with a weapon light. I would like to pick up a used one for night stand duty with a light, should I steer clear of a gen 3 or take my chances?  Does the gen4 totally solve this issue?  Thanks

If you have the money, buy a gen 4 G22 with confidence. I have two gen 3 G22s, both work fine with a light but there were problems reported with certain lights.

I wanted to know about this so instead of starting another thread; what is the issue with lights on Glocks? I own a 17, 21, 30 and 35w/9mm conversion barrel. All gen 3. I currently have an insight M3 and will probably be buying a TLR1S some day. What models have a problem, what is the problem and with what lights?

I have put many reliable rounds through my 3rd Gen G22/TLR-1 combo.

I've experienced no issues with Gen3 G22, G35 and G23 (x4 of them) with TLR-1 and X300 attached. This without overtightening the TLR-1 and with mags with "1" or "2" on the back and #8 or #9 followers. Apparently the updated mags and non-overtightened light still does not solve the issue on a select few Gen3s, so test your weapon. From what I've heard (not experienced), the Gen4s are good to go.

first glock I ever bought was a gen3 22 and bought a TLR-1 with it for 125 bucks. it worked just fine. I miss that light I sold it for 50 bucks like a idiot let a guy rip me off. I want another one for my gen4 22.

First post.

The only one I've seen in real life with the problem, only had it with Blazer aluminum....but still, it shook my confidence in it. Go Gen4.
