I recently got a Glock 19 for christmas. It came with pre-mounted Trijicon night sights, but the rear just isn't working for me. I tried to drift them out with a brass punch, but no luck. CLP'ed the heck out of it and tried again....still no luck. Any idea why it wont budge? The internet told me it would be easier then this. Any ideas??

Could be loctite'd in. See any red residue?? if not, either yuor slide is not secure enough in the vise, or you need to hit it harder.

Or, instead of Joe the Plumber, you need to make like Joe the gunsmith and use a sight pusher.  I've changed a bunch of Glock sights, never used a punch yet.  If you're moving the sight because you're shooting low and left, then you're wasting your time.  You just need to adjust the nut behind the trigger.

Oh accuracy is not the problem. I just prefer factory Glock sights. Seems a sight pusher is the only option.

Thought I was in the GA HTF there for a minute.  Was going to offer to let you use my pusher.

I've had that loose nut problem for a LONG tome now....

I'd recommend a sight pusher. I put Trijicons on all my Glocks and have found the Trijicon rear sight to be an extremely tight fit in the rear dovetail. Tight enough that I certainly would not want to try banging it out with a punch and hammer. Very tight.

I recommend sight tools. Check this out they work awesome and are reasonably priced.
