The Gen4 grip just fits my hand so much better.  Traded in my Gen3 31c and walked out the door with a brand new Gen4 17. I am a happy camper

Congrats.

I bought a Gen4 19 a little over a week ago and love it.  If I could ever sell my XD40, I'd get another Glock ;)

Yeah, the Gen 3 guns are pretty much obsolete for me now.

I have to say... never was a glock guy. Had an XDM and Sig, great guns... but when I picked up that Gen 4 17 - everything changed! Within one month I was shooting the Glock better than the other two. I probably should have been shooting them all along but it was the new body style that sold me. My next gun and next gun after that will be Glocks. Guess I'll have to start hanging around here now.

I guess I'm the complete opposite. I had two Gen 4 17's, and a Gen 4 19. Meh, I prefer the Gen 3's.

My first Glock a Gen 4 26 is awesome. I have shot a bunch of Gen 3 Glocks and seem to shoot this one much better. The Gen 3's seem to shoot high for me. The Gen 4 seems to shoot high as well but not nearly as much.

Where are the pics?  After holding a Glock 17 Gen 4 I really like the feel of the Gen 4.  A 17 Gen 4 will be my next glock purchase.

I'm in the same boat.  Gen4 with no backstrap fits like a champ!  Funny cause even though the Gen3 fit a bit large in my hand, I was still able to shoot it well.

Have you shot it yet? If not I suggest wearing glasses. And let us know how it goes.

Handled a Gen4 17 the other day. I'm really curious to see if the Gen4 19 fits my hand better than previous models. I definitely see an Gen4 in my future.

I checked and it does have the newer updated ejector and guide rod spring.

So did mine. And now Glock has it again. Good luck. Nice pics. Fine looking gun. Mine shot beautiful other than ejection issues.

nice purchase I own a gen4 22 and have owned numerous gens3's the gen 4 is better cause you get 3 mags plus a better recoil spring and for us leftys u can change the mag release over too the right side. I will say the texture on the 4 is rough I like the texture of the 3 better but that's not enough too win the battle of the 2.

I really want a Gen4 19.
I got my G/F a G23 Gen4 which kind of became mine because the texture chews her hands up but I really want a 19.

Congrats on your new gun. I was issued a Gen4 G22 at the PD I work for a few months ago and found that I absolutely LOVE the way the Gen4 feels in my hand. Any new Glocks for me will be Gen4. I'm not getting rid of my older Glocks, but new ones will be Gen4 from now on.

What are you guys using for CCW ammo with your 9mm Glocks?

Speer Gold Dot 124 grain +P's. Streicher's has them in stock for $29/50 rounds. Good price.

Same here.  I'm holding on to my Gen 3 G34, but have a Gen 4 G17 and Gen 4 G26 (BUG). Love them.

Both mine are over 3k rounds each and running like Swiss watches.  It looks like Glock finally got the gen 4 gremlins worked out. Enjoy the new piece.

You'll enjoy your Gen4 G17. Mine has approx 800 flawless rounds through it and maybe 2 have hit me. This with mid power handloads. Just not an issue for me. Mine does have the updated RSA and ejector. Good luck. Now get out there and wear it out!

I just bought a new G36.  The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have rails for a light.  Oh well...I bought it to be my BUG, so I guess it's not that important.  My CCW is a G30SF with a TLR4 and then I have a G21SF with a TLR2 for the glove box.  I can't decide where to carry the G36.  I'm debating the small of the back, versus ankle carry, versus my off side.  What do you guys do?  I've been carrying my S&W M&P Shield 9mm on my off side, IWB, but don't really like that.  I also don't like the thought of ankle carry because I have a nerve injury in my leg and would have to sit down to get to it.  I think small of the back would be the most comfortable, but everyone I've talked to says you shouldn't carry that way.  Anyone know why?  No one could give me a really good reason.
