My G19 has started to jam occasionally. It tries to run but the case doesn't make it all the way out. Not a smokestack. The shell is horizontal to the ground stuck between the breechface and the slide. Anyway, I have learned to totally disassemble the Glock and I can replace the extractor. The question is should I go with the "old style" or "new style"? Does it make any difference? My gun is a two pin, Gen 3 gun.
The extractor doesn't look that bad. Just a little rounded on the bottom corner. I got the gun used and have shot many thousands of rounds out of it since then so it has been shot some. |

Apex Extractor's are the premier units:
https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid67.html White Sound Extractor Depressor http://glockparts.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=126833&MANF=549 Adding these two items have resolved most Gen 4 Glock user issues. |

Another take on this issue is maybe replace the recoil spring assembly. It might only be a $7 fix. I'm doing that and also bought the extractor. I will try the new spring assembly for a while and see what happens before I install the extractor. It doesn't look that bad. |
| I got the new extractor and recoil spring assembly. I dropped them in. The old extractor really looked OK in a side by side comparison with the new one so I am going to hang on to the old one. I can tell a difference in how hard it is to work the slide so it may be the old spring needed replacing. I won't get a chance to shoot it for a few days but I bet it will run. |

Hopefully it's just the RSA. Keep us posted. |
