Has anyone on the board delt with Gock customer service?  I ask because I'm having issues w/ a third generation Glock 20 that I bought last week.  The slide will lock back while there are still rounds in the magazine.  This occurs with American Eagle 180 grain ammo as well as with Buffalo Bore 200 grain ammo.  It does not lock back with every shot fired.  It will lock back about every tenth round (again, it will do this with rounds still in the magazine).  I have a fourth generation Glock 19 and a third generation Glock 30.  I have not had this problem with either pistol. I acknowledge it could be an issue with my grip, but neither of the other two pistols demonstrate this issue.  So that being said, how hard/easy is it to work with the Glock's customer service?  Your thoughts are appreciated.

They are jam up and very helpful.
Has it ever had the pins/locking block taken out? If so check that the end of the spring for the slide lock is under the pin and not on top.

I bought the pistol new, and as far as I know it has never been disassembled any further than taking the slide off of the frame (and barrel removal from the slide).  I compared the slide stop spring position in the offending pistol to my Glock 19 and Glock 30.  Visually they all look identical.  However the spring tension on the slide stop for the Glock 20 is considerably lighter than the tension on the other two pistols. Holefully Glock will work with me on this.

If the spring tip is under the locking block pin then I'd bet it is a grip issue, especially if you shoot a thumbs forward style grip.  I've noticed the 20/21's larger size tend to place the thumbs right at the slide stop and cause the thunbs to lift the slide stop during recoil and catch the slide.

Glock's customer service is top notch if it's a gun issue.

That issue is easy to fix if it's not your grip.   Can you verify the spring is as it should be?

(not my pic)

When the slide is off, you should be able to lift up on the back of the slide stop and let it snap back down.   If it doesn't snap back down, there is something wrong with the spring.

Neither of the other Glocks have the same recoil impulse as a G20.  It's your grip.  Nothing Glock's customer service can do about that.  Watch your thumbs.  Might want to have your thumbs trimmed back a little.

I will get some pics up.  The spring in my G20 looks just like the spring in the photo already posted.  As I said earlier, there is tension on the slide stop, but the tension is no where as stiff as it is on my G19 and G30.  I will shoot the pistol left handed (I'm right handed) to see if it still malfunctions.  If that clears up the problem then I will be at a loss.  When I grip the gun, my thumbs look to be out of the way of the slide stop.....my grip feels no different on this pistol than my grip on the other two pistols.  This is turning out to be an expensive pain in my rear end.

Nothing but good service for me
Now, H&K on the other hand, not so good.
