I have 2 Gen 3 G19s.  One squeaks when I pull the slide back, and one does not.  Both guns are properly lubricated.
I have tried switching to a new RSA and the squeak is still there.  The squeaky G19 was purchased used, and has a Glock replacement slide on it.

Cannot figure what is causing it.  Anyone else have a squeaky Glock?

Try putting a little oil on the rsa.

Well shit.  That was easy.

I've always found new Glocks, at least gen3s, squeak at first. It goes away fairly soon. I always assumed it was either lube getting on the squeaky surface, or the surface getting worn down through use.

I installed a new recoil spring assembly in my ancient G17....it squeeked after that.

I was checking out a gen3 17, about a year ago.

It squeaked so bad, I didn't buy it. (by far the worst noise I've heard come from a pistol)

Now I know it was really a non issue.

I recently bought two new Gen 3s and initially, they both did squeaked when cycled. A little bit of lube fixed it.

First thing I did on my gen 3 19 was put clp on the RSA. Then I cycled it a few times and cleaned off the access oil. No biggie.

It made noise when I was in the store, took all of 2 seconds to pinpoint the noise and know the fix.

My gen 3 21SF did this when I bought it. I asked the guy behind the counter to see the other one they had and it did the same so I bought one. Never really bugged me much.

Nearly all new Glock's do that.

Lock the slide back and rub the guide rod with a lightly oiled cotton tip.

Good, fast answers in this thread BTW.

It is new. That is a good sound, now go shoot it.

Besides exacerbating one's neurosis, when one manually works the slide, does anybody hear the squeek during firing?

Mine's stopped squeaking as loudly after 1000 rounds.  Still sort of there.  I'm not worried about though.

Had a squeaky g36 back in the day, took alot more lube on rsa than expected but worked.

Mine squeaks, too. Only 200 rounds through. I've put lube on the recoil rod a few times but it seems like the polymer just absorbs it. Have to try some grease.

I have a squeaky g19. I've had it for years. I just figured that's the way it is...
