| Looking into having one mounted on one of my glocks. What are the differences? |

There is a lot of info on Lightfighter about this.
A pistol mounted RDS is different than a rifle mounted RDS. You need something to reference the dot off of so you need the taller sights to co-witness. The best way is to have your slide milled to get the RDS closer to the bore axis. Per Doc Roberts - The Aimpoint T1 is the most robust sight that is not effected by the elements. It is big though as its main use is rifles. The RMR's seem to be the most durable with the battery operated units being the most desirable as the Tritium powered ones dot easily gets washed out by light (I can verify this personally as my 170 lumen model x300 made the dot on the tritium powered RMR wash out completely). He recommends the RMR06 or RMR07 as they have a manual off and brightness control. |

The only time my Dual-Illuminated RMR washes out is when the TLR-1 is on, AND I'm aiming at a white wall........ My x300 will wash it out against anything in the dark, not just a white background. With the battery operated unit you can crank the brightness up to overcome this. |
