I've done a lot of work to Glocks in the past for myself and for profit. However I've always kept one Glock in it's factory configuration...My first Glock 19. My father bought it for me when I was 17 years old, and since then it's had thousands of rounds through it. It's seen more abuse than any gun that I own. The factory plastic sights were replaced twice, recoil spring once, and it's Krylon paint job has been stripped with Acetone. The only time it ever gets cleaned is when I wash the dishes. I let the parts soak, scrub with a brush, and let air dry with the dishes.

I figure I'll keep this one for the long run, so I might as well customize it to my liking. Who would want to buy the thing anyways...

So here's what I did:
- Reduced backstrap using the "Candle Method"
- Remove finger grooves
- Remove factory grip texture
- Undercut trigger guard
- Mag release scallop
- Stippled
- Add Tritium night sights (HD front, plain rear)

Here you can see where it was shot twice by a Glock 34 9mm:

Overall, I'm extremely happy with the results. I love the new style stippling I picked up vs. the old pin prick method. The trigger is still an OEM Glock trigger. It used to have a lighter striker spring, extra power trigger spring, and 3.5 connector. Over the years people have bought the parts out of my gun and I've just not seen a need to replace them. Glock triggers are fine the way they are really. It serves it's intended purpose, and does it well.

So how's it look?

Here's some I've done in the past:

How did you shoot your Glock with a 34?

The first time we just set it in the dirt, and the second time I hung it up on a target stand with a piece of string.

Why?

Beautiful work by the way. I'm going to have seething similar done to my Glocks.

Nice.

Care to elaborate your newest stiple technique?

I recently did a grip chop on a 19, and would like to do something like yours.

Nice custom.

Very nice work.  The only modifications I've done to my 19 is night sights and a 3.5 connector.  It is perfect as is so I can't justify putting a bunch of money into it.

Work looks very well done!

What kind of mag baseplate is on the extended mag in the chopped 23?

Is that the tip and drag stippling?  I like to stipple by using the tip and setting it at an angle so it makes an oval like indention.

I am not a fan of stippling, but that looks good. People tend to overdo their stippling jobs and their guns end up looking like they went through a lawnmower

- Sand factory grip texture completely off with Dremel drum, finish with medium foam block.
- Let the soldering iron heat completely.
- Drag pointed tip in varying length parallel lines. Make sure not to poke, and do not change the angle.
- Finish with medium foam block.

I don't tape, but you might want to. Practice makes perfect. Whatever you do, don't forget to sand the factory grip texture off, and don't change the angle. If you don't follow those steps, you'll be defending yourself online how you like your stippling job better than everyone else's, but deep down inside you know it looks like crap.

Looks awesome. I want to shoot no finger groove/back strap Glock. I like the stipplejob I did on my Glock but was thinking of doing the finger grooves....

I normally don't care for the soldering iron jobs but that one looks nice.
