I have been eyeing a G19 EXO that has been sitting at my LGS for a while now and I was just wondering if anyone has heard of these having the BTF problem that the other Glocks are currently having? At one point I had a G17 gen 4 that would do nothing but throw brass in my face or stovepipe. So I got rid of it because I couldn't trust it and I am currently Glock-less for fears of getting another one like the G17 I had. I am looking for a CCW and a G19 fits the bill perfectly but I don't want to get another one if it is just going to have the same problems my previous Glock did. So has anyone heard of these having the same problems of the standard Glocks?

what is an exo?  and a btf?   to answer your question, yes, I have heard of 19s having some issues.  Easy fix though.

I believe the current models do not have the Failzero coating, Just Ameriglo night sights.

So look for the silver finish if you want the Nickel Boron coating.

The one I am looking at has the coating. I just want to know if there have been any reports of problems in these like there have been with the standard Glocks.
I have searched the web and I couldn't find any reports of problems with them, but I don't know maybe my search fu is weak.

Wish I could help you... I have one but I haven't done any real shooting with it. It is a nicely done release by Talo and I bought it because it was a little different than all my other Glocks. I'm not really sure that the FailZero is really going to do much but who knows, I might be surprised. The one good thing for me was that they come  with the GL433 sights which are the sights I already run, so it saved me the hassle of having to swap out.

My other 7 Gen 3's are all GTG and have been problem free with tens of thousands of rounds.

I have a 17 and a 19 EXO (both Gen3, I'm not a fan of Gen 4) and I have not noticed any brass  ––>  face. I have about 2000 rounds through the 17 is it was my carry gun for about 6 months until I got a FDE 17, maybe only 500 rounds through the 19.

'Standard Glocks' are not having problems, it's the early Gen 4's and some of the later Gen 3's that were having the problems because of issues with the RSA and the extractor/ejector.

no, I think all the EXOs were before the Gen3 issues starting coming around. I have about 400rds through my 19exo with no issues. It ejects at 5 o'clock, but very consistently. serial starts with nfa

eta: Buy that exo asap, if anything to resell it for 750 like they've been going for lately

I was thinking that they came out before the problems of current production Glocks. That is why I was wanting this specific one. I think I may grab it while I can.

Is it one with the upgraded sights (Ameriglo GL433's)?

I honestly cannot remember if it has those sights or not. I want to say no, but I'm not sure. I hope it does as that would save me the expense of getting night sights so I could get more mags or ammo. I am going to look at it today hopefully so I will report back in later.

Ofcourse exos can have problems. They take same factory glock that could have problems and coat em.

No luck on the G19 EXO. It got sold.
Oh well. I guess I will be glock-less a little longer now.
