I need a holster for my 19, that will be compatible with my Glock light, and threaded barrel. Is there one readily available? I've seen this Kydex stuff or similar, anyone want to school me on it?

Thanks.

What are you wanting to do with the gun? Carry inside the waistband, or outside? Range use or Concealed carry use?

Ditch the Glock light for a TLR-1 and get one of these

Outside the waistband, for carrying around in the woods.

And I really like my Glock light.

I've molded my own Kydex on many occasions. It's not difficult at all, and cheap. You can get kits where you get everything you need to build a holster, and mold the Kydex yourself for a custom fit. Old Faithful Holsters comes to mind, because they have instructional videos as well. I think that there's a few other places too, but I can't remember any off of the top of my head.

ETA: Posted before I saw your "outside the waistband" post. Not sure about how to deal with that. All the kits that I see are IWB although the Kydex molding part is still easy.

Glock lights are fine, however they are no where near as bright as a TLR-1

If you are OK with the inferior light output then keep it

I'm pretty sure ZCS has a Glock light to mold with too if you decide to go that route

ETA: Yes they do

The light works fine for me, can't really justify shelling out an extra $100 for something I already have. If my Glock light dies, however, I'll probably look into getting the TLR-1.

Thanks for the info guys.

Also, I think a Kydex holster with simple belt loops would be fine for me.

My thought processes is you will want a TLR-1 in the future, which will mean you will have to buy another holster to fit that light instead of the glock light, costing you more money in the long run

Kydex is cheap.

Look at the G-code holsters. They make a quality product at a decent price.

If I was you I would sell your glock light and buy a TLR-1. I know you like the glock light but the TLR-1 is a superior light. Plus I think it will be hard to find holsters that will be molded for the glock light. You just never see them.

Safariland makes an ALS model for the G17 and 19 with the Glock light I believe.

Edit: my bad it is the SLS model not the ALS.

If you search the web you can find them pretty cheap.  Just got my wife an ALS for her 19, it ran me about $40 shipped.

I got kydex holsters from edc holsters. Don't know of they make one for the glock light but they did make one for my stream light tlr 1. I'm with some of these other guys I'd get rid of the glock light and get something better.
