Hi Folks,
Just wanted to share some pics of my new pistol. Picked it up today. I was surprised not to see "Austria" stamped on the slide. Wanted to see if anybody had any more information about this new production... The finish on the slide looks very similar to the M&P slides. Looks like Melonite... |

Quoted: In. We cranking them out here now? They've been making complete Glocks in GA for a few years now, but only for export. They did use US made frames mated to Austrian slides and barrels to supplement complete Austrian pistols being imported starting around 2007 or so, but never complete pistols for domestic sales before. |

is it wrong that i like glocks because they're made in austria? I know, it looks a little weird like that. I want one, but I already have too many G19s Maybe I'll have to get one to set next to my Austrian proofed G19.
Are USA glock 19s going to be the norm now or glock just using them to catch up with production numbers? |

While it's nice that it's produced in the USA, it does look a bit off without AUSTRIA on the slide.
Wonder how long it'll be before Glock messes this up and, like SIG, we yearn for the old, Austria produced pistols. Except for SIG, in which case the W. German made ones are still highly sought after. |
Maybe I'll have to get one to set next to my Austrian proofed G19.
