So I finally got the funds to pick up a new Glock and after deciding on the Glock 30SF I made a few calls to find one in stock...
I managed to locate a couple before I found a dealer with the Gen4 in stock. For those who don't know the G30 Gen4 with no backstrap is the same as the G30SF so now I have some options although I still prefer the no backstrap feel. Anyways it will be getting out to the range very shortly...Maybe even later today... 
This is my first non 9mm Glock and I've heard this is on of their best offerings. UPDATE: Got the chance to take it to the range today...Put 100 rounds through it trouble free. No wierd ejection or anything although I'm not even sure if that's an issue with the .45 Glocks. I can say this thing shoots very soft and is about as easy to keep on target for me as my 1911's are. Very happy with it but still not sure if it will join the CCW rotation with my G19 or G26. And of course the pics:

I can see why you would say that and after a few more outings and some more shooting I may agree with you. The top right G19 is my main carry gun and the top left G19 is my bedside handgun although the G30 may replace it or share duties in time. The G26 on the right is my T-shirt and shorts gun but that is even going to the G19 lately. My Wife does carry the other G26 though. |

Damn, I'm slipping. When did the Gen4 G30's come out?!? I heard June but this is the first I've seen... My test fire date was June 7th. This is also a blue label gun if that make a difference in availability. I was about to ask that. They've been shipping to LE for a few weeks now. None yet to commercial distributors. Dave Thanks... My favorite is still the Glock 19 and I've actually received a few offers to trade this for a Gen4 Glock 19 + cash which would equal out to way more than I have into this one but I'm holding on strong. I mean who really needs 3 Glock 19's...
