I saw a used g29 at a gun store for $429.
It had two screws in the back of the slide holding the slide
back plate on, is this normal for a 10 mm g29 or did someone do it at home.
Also is that a good price, it looks to be in excellent condition.

I'd keep looking. Screws? Definitely not normal.

Not "normal", but not necessarily a deal-breaker, either.  A replacement slide cover plate is pretty inexpensive.  Can't imagine what might have been attached, other than a slide racker, but I've never seen on attached by two screws.

Could have been one of those stupid clips people screw on to the slides that let you wear the gun IWB with no holster.

Make a big stink about it, get the guy to drop the price by $100, then go buy a new part.

Assuming that it is in great shape, Yes

With that said, I have one BNIB on the EE (with rail) for $535

Not trying to sell you mine, just giving you a price point

I'd get it.  My G29 is several years old, and I sure wouldn't take $450 for it.  I'd just remove the screws.

some back plates have screw holes for a slide racker or clip draw attachment to attach to. plate takes 10 seconds to change out. it's also not a bad price. offer them $400 out the door and see if they jump on it.

ok.....i was beat to the punch this time
