if my 10 year old stepdaughter can do it on my STI frame, don't be afraid to do your own. took her less than two hours her first try. i wish the camera on my phone didn't suck so bad. she blended the mainspring housing into the texturing perfectly. you can't tell it's a separate piece until you slide it out. she copied the pattern from one of my customers pistols. the pattern is a combination bark pattern with overlapping lines to give it more bite.
