Here is a video I made a while back. It is a little better than the other stipple video as I am actually stippling the Glock not practicing on a pmag.

Stipple Video - Youtube

Also, some pics of a gun I did for a friend recently. Using this method they have been turning out pretty good. Good luck to all stipple adventures!

Would someone please explain why everyone stipples the left side of the frame...

I fail to see how your hand ends up there with enough force to gain any traction

1. It would look ugly and just plain weird if you had half the gun stippled, and the other half standard. I don't understand why anyone would want to half way do something like that. It would be like painting one side of your glock tan and leaving the other side black.
2. Dunno about you but when shooting my left palm is pressing against the left grip and has some grip.

Not what I am talking about...

I mean the little "patch" of stippling in front of and above the trigger guard

ETA: The OP did both sides, but most that I have seen are on the left only

I understand what you mean. The first Glock I ever did I didn't stipple it. Then I did on my next Glock and it provided a nice reference point for my weak hand thumb. I can show you a picture of my grip a little later when I get home if you would like.

I see now

My hands are way to small to reach that far, my thumb lays at the pins

Very nice job BTW, you should really start offering your stippling as a service, how long did that take you?

Thanks I have done some for some friends but I don't have an ffl so it would be hard right now to get going a lot with just local business. It takes 3-4 hours total depending on the extent of the work.

Great work!  That looks about 1000x better than some of the other jobs I've seen.

That looks great! Really love how it's not too deep and random. Looks very professional.

Gonna have to try this on some PMAGS and on my KAC rail cover panels.

One question: Doese it tend to rub your side and make the skin raw if you carry this all day in an IWB holster? Just wondering if this would be a bad idea to do to a gun I carry all day.

EDIT:

Spoke too soon!  Should have read the entire topic instead of quoting and rolling. :)

I always carry with an under short of some kind so its not an issue. When I tried on the gun to see how bad it was with no shirt, it didn't hurt but you can feel it.
